La formación integral es un estilo educativo que pretende no solo instruir a los estudiantes con los saberes específicos de las ciencias sino, también, ofrecerles los elementos necesarios para que crezcan como personas buscando desarrollar todas sus características, condiciones y potencialidades

La formación integral sirve, entonces, para orientar procesos que busquen lograr,fundamentalmente, la realización plena del hombre y de la mujer, desde de lo que a cada uno de ellos les corresponde y es propio de su vocación personal. También, contribuye al mejoramiento de la calidad de vida del entorno social.

BILINGUAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

It was created in order to fulfill two main objectives: in one hand, the integration of bilingual subjects and Spanish and on the other hand, the promotion of the internationalization of the school community and the school itself. The former objective has to do with creating mutual agreements, planning activities that promote English in different settings and monitoring the bilingual subjects in terms of methodologies and didactics. The latter objective is related to promote interculturality through immersion and integration programs. Also, this objective encompasses the assessment of the English level of the community through international exams.

Integration of subjects
Pacemaker. A virtual newspaper created to make known students matters by short written texts.

Learning Journey. The BEP seeks to integrate bilingual subjects through different and motivating activities during a school day.

Speaking English and Having Fun. A day in which the entire school
community is expected to acquire and use English for communicating.


Internationalization

ELE Español como Lengua Extranjera. Due to the enrollment of foreign and multicultural students in the school, last year, the ELE program started to support the Spanish acquisition for these students.

Immersion and integration Programs. The School promotes these kinds of experiences to encourage students to know other cultures by interacting with them in their country and by so doing to value our own culture and language.There are three immersion programs that are being offered:
• Windsor, Canada. Fifth graders attend the Academie Ste. Cecile and share dorms with their classmates during one month.
• Dublin, Ireland. Seventh graders attend different Catholic Private Schools and stay with an Irish family for 1 month.
• Auckland, New Zealand. Ninth graders attend different International State Schools and stay with a host family between 9 and 11 weeks.
Otherwise, students from ninth, tenth and eleventh grades can apply for different options of language courses, foundation year in UK, pathway in Canada or USA, with the assistance of the BEP(Bilingual Education Program) office.
British English Olympics (BEO)A program that fosters the English language in a holistic way through a competition within a multicultural environment where up to twenty students from eighth, ninth and tenth grades compete in different categories against schools from diverse nationalities.

Cambridge Exams Tests that assess the school community English level by international examinations. Students from fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh take Flyers, KET, PET and IELTS respectively.

 

BILINGUAL EDUCATION PROGRAM COMMITTEE
It consists of the Spanish Coordinator, the bilingual subjects Coordinators, the Speech Therapists, the Assistant Teacher and the Coordinator of the Bilingual Education Program.
